I will admit to some dark hours the past few days. I’m frustrated. I’m angry. I feel helpless and weak. But I am reminded what Paul said in 2 Corinthians 12:10. “That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong”.
For this reason, I have decided to Praise him. If you feel led, I’d like to ask you to join me. You don’t have to be a “regular” here to share. Matter of fact, if you want to start one of those “tagging” things based on praising him, then to God be the glory. I can imagine this entire blog community offering him praises through their blogs and sharing it with others. I’m not usually real hip on those things, but this one, and the subject deserves our Praise. I’ve been quick to offer my requests, now it’s time to praise him.
I’m gonna praise Him….
1. Because I was fearfully and wonderfully made. (Psalm 139:14)
2. For beginning a good work in me and seeing it through ( Phillipians 1:6)
3. For being my strong tower (Psalm 61:3 and Proverbs 18:10)
4. For holding my heart in his hands (Proverbs 21:1)
5. For reminding me to “Be Still” (Psalm 46:10)
6. For he has made me glad.
7. For the blessings of my wife and children.
8. For his grace and mercy.
9. For leaving the 99 to find the one.

I’m gonna praise Him..
1. salvation…no words can express my praise for such a loving act
2. the Word of the Lord… love, wisdom, knowledge, strength, peace, truth
3. Eric … loving me since I was 14 ( no hillbilly jokes!!)
3. Eric Tyler, Charlie, and Sarah…may have sent me into depression (I laugh about it now) but have given such a rainbow of love
4. Bonnie and James Robert ( my parents) for introducing me to Christ and always teaching and guiding me especially in their daily lives
5. Not letting me forget where I’ve been and what He has done in those moments.
“Only be careful, and watch yourselves closely so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them slip from your heart as long as you live. Teach them to your children and to their children after them.” Deut 4: 9
6. 10 months until surgery residency is over and we are living in the hills of Kentucky where I sound just like everybody else!!!

I praise God that:
1. I am alive another day and that I will have a good long life.
2. I have a God that cures, strengthens, and saves.
3. I have an incredible wife who is strong and is my “other” rock!
4. I have three beautiful children who I love and they love me.
5. He has saved me and I have a relationship with Him.
The list could go on right now, but this will do!!

I’m gonna praise Him that even during sickness He gives me the will and energy to get through.
I’m gonna praise Him because every time I think it’s time to quit, He’s sends a sign telling me why I shouldn’t.
I’m gonna praise Him because even though my precious son is trying my patience, fruit is growing.
I’m gonna praise Him because His BLOOD made me clean and gave me a reason to live. Amen!
