With some cross country trips coming this week, I couldn’t think of a better time to dust off the library card and get caught up on some reading. I did some searching online, reserved my selections and the family and I made a library run this morning. Below are what I picked up and what’s to come. I’ll do some reviews as I get through them. Any recommended reading?
Confessions of a Reformission Rev. – by Mark Driscoll
Through Painted Deserts - by Donald Miller
The Way of the Wild Heart – by John Eldredge
Marks Story – by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins
On Reserve:
The Audacity of Hope – by Barack Obama
90 Minutes in Heaven – by Don Piper
I should mention that I toyed with the idea of reading “The God Delusion” by Richard Dawkins. I actually reserved it and picked it up while we were at the library. After doing a quick speed read, I decided to pass. Maybe some other time.

Great set there! I’m jealous of all the down time you get to read on planes!!
Hi, Aaron!
I read excerpts from The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins.
I think that this book is a VALUABLE tool because
it provides a GLIMPSE into what the enemy is thinking.
To win a game, you need to know the tactics of your enemy:
What do they say, what do they think, what do they wear,
where do they live, what do they do, what don’t they do,
who are their friends, how do they talk, what are their goals,
what are their values, who is their GOD.
I approached PASTOR TOM FLAHERTY about this book.
I was offended that a book club had sent this book out,
without consent, to over 1,000 customers. PASTOR TOM
preached about my experience and his REBUTTAL to this book
the next Sunday. So, do not be afraid, for I am with you.
This book is for MATURE audiences and MATURE Christians.
Not for brand new CHRISTIANS, hot off the press. Read the book.
Know thine enemy. Pray for your enemy [enemies].
Remember: Doubt is ants in the pants of FAITH.
Peace,
Sandy S. Zoo
I think Don Piper’s second book “Heaven is Real” is even better than his first. Right now, I am reading “The Prodigal Comes Home” by Michael English. It is his story of failure and God’s Story of Redemption. So far, it’s a VERY good book and easy read.
“90 Minutes In Heaven” is Very Powerful. I just lost my teen son months back, and this book touched me. I will also say that a friend of mine was in Houston, and the pastor who wrote this layed hands on her and prayed that her illness (cancer) would go away. And, on her third hmm, scan? The tumors were gone.
The very first book I ever read all the through as an adult was “Left Behind”. I took it to work with me; could not wait to read it every chance I got! Brilliant book!!! Although, seems most Christians have already read the entire series.
