inspired by a true story……..
40 Day Blog Fast
Many of the people I follow on Twitter have made a decision to fast for 40 days from their twitter activities. In other words, they are not going to use Twitter for 40 days. Their decisions have inspired me to do something similar. As of this post, I declaring the next 40 days as a fast away from my blogging. The blog world has changed so much over the past several years. I have personally grown to love Twitter. I think the 140 character limit is perfect for my short attention span. I find that after sending my VERY random thoughts to twitter all day, I don’t usually have a whole lot to blog about.
So what will I be doing the next 40 days? First off, I will continue to send my short thoughts, links, reviews, updates to my twitter page. If you’re into RSS Feeds, you can follow the my twitter updates (HERE). Secondly, I have many books that have stacked up on my desk to read. I owe it to the authors and publishers to get them read and reviewed. I’ll do that when I return after the 40 days. We also have a 1/2 marathon or two that I’ll update on when I get back. I figured the next 40 days will give me the opportunity to get caught up on all that. There’s also a little thing called “work” that will be very busy in the next month or so. Due to my Corporations recent acquisition, we are sure to be up to our ears in integrations. Economic travel restrictions appear to be lifted so my travel should be in full mode in 2010 as well.
So I’ll be back in 40 Days to get caught up on all of that and more. I wish each of you a healthy and happy start to 2010. May this be a year where you are blessed and are a blessing to those in need. See you in February!

I’ve come to realize (or actually acknowledge rather) lately, too that I would benefit greatly from a hiatus from more internet time. Namely, Facebook (since blogging has long since been on the back burner).
And personally, looking forward to the break and breath of fresh air.
Anyway, God bless your fast! And will look forward to hearing reviews in February!
*Btw, I think I always forget that you’re associated w/ Stanley. I worked several summers in the plant here in Ga, before it closed and they moved up to Charlotte. And one of my best friends’ father works out of the one in Charlotte, though he’s gone a lot of the time internationally. And a lot of her family has worked with them, too. I really enjoyed it when I was there. Stanley Works!
