Early Saturday morning, my wife boarded a plane to Honduras with the other members of the Rock City Church missions team. The next 9 days would be uncharted waters without her here. She’s been gone before for various conferences and getaways, but this was a big one. 9 Days. Due to my need to commute for work, I’ve been gone a whole lot this summer. So I actually welcomed the opportunity to take a week off and spend some time with my crew. My Dad is also here so he’s been able to provide some backup as needed. I’m happy to report we’re 7 days in and it’s been a great week.
Below are some of the adventures we have tackled this week. The big moment for the week was “to go fishing with Papa”. It’s been all they have talked about this week. Each day they would ask when we were going fishing. We’ve seen and done a lot this week. So thankful for these 3 kids of mine. They are an absolute joy to be with. Thanks to my Dad for being here as well. Also, one quick shout out to our friend Katie for offering to take Princess 2.0 yesterday. It provided the opportunity for “the boy”, my Dad and I to get in 3 rounds of bowling. Good times.
