photo_041207_003.jpgThe weather this week seems to be a topic everywhere. Not sure how it was in your neck of the woods, but the weather in Ohio was pretty dreary. Cold, dark and rainy. That’s the bad news. The good news is that I was in Atlanta all day where it was sunshine, rainbows, unicorns and 70 degrees. I made the unicorns and rainbows up, but it was really nice.

Now this is where it gets REALLY cool. The image in the corner (click for larger view) was taken on my flight back home this evening. Believe it or not (those in Ohio probably won’t), but this was what the weather looked like in Ohio on the other side of the clouds. It was beautiful. I had been telling my son about what the clouds look like from an airplane, so I used my cell phone and took a couple of shots. This was taken just before landing. That’s when it hit me.

How true is this picture? There are days when life feels miserable. Maybe it was some bad news, a phone call, an email or an argument that brought the rain. This picture should encourage you and I to rise above it. If we can see through the “clouds” to the other side, there is peace. There is a calm and a view that will make you forget what might have darkened your day. We don’t need a plane. We just need to believe that whatever this “storm” has brought us, there is a side we might not see. We just need to rise above.
