Wisdom from the 80’s (VIII)

“Ronnie, Bobbie, Ricky and Mike
If I love the girl who cares who you like!”

[youtube=http://youtube.com/watch?v=fZ1-KD7Hlqg]

I heard this song recently and had to post it. I was a HUGE New Edition fan. Watching this brought back some great memories. I went to see them in concert with UTFO (gulp) and the Jessie Johnson Review. Other notables from this video are:

Ralph Tresvant’s Mullet.

Bobby Brown’s Gerry Curl

No Johnny Gill (he replaced Bobby when he went solo).

Bel Biv Devoe long before the “Poison” and “Do Me” days.

    Oh no you didn’t.

“Cool It Now” was one of the first songs that I would listen to, thinking about about that special girl at school and wishing she would like me.

    Classic Old-School Jam!

I’d ask if we were separated at birth, but then there is that whole Marilyn Manson thing. J/K

Wow, it takes a real man to admit he was a huge New Edition fan. Gotta go, “Mr. Telephone Man” is calling….

“Pop Corn Love” baby! I am actually downloading all of the CD’s from Yahoo! when I got your email. Man these guys were awesome. It’s so sad that I can still sing every lyric to every song.

“Don’t be Cruel” Stef, “It’s My Perogative”. I know you’re thinking “My, My, My” and that this band is “Poison” to listen to, but “Cool in Now”. I’m just a “Stone Cold Gentleman”…..

I am laughing so hard right now…I am not sure I can top that response…and won’t even try.

However, I will lay down a challenge. Check this out..

    Good luck.

I got a 68. I don’t know what that is out of though. There were a few curveballs in there. One of their questions was totally wrong though. Poison didn’t cover “smokin in the boys room”…Motley Crue did.

But thats alright. I’ll forgive them.

Ok, I like a good challenge. Dude, “You Dropped a Bomb on Me” and I am just coming “Straight From the Heart”, brother, “Do You Really Want to Hurt Me”?

Aaron, many people hang on “Every Breath You Take”, but at times you just leave them “Free Fallin'”. At times, you leave them “Dancing in the Dark” like they are wearing “Sunglasses at Night”.

“You Might Think” that I am a little upset, but “Don’t Worry, Be Happy” that I am not. I know that “It Ain’t Over ’til it’s Over”, but we should really have a little “Patience” with each other.

So, “Take it Easy on Me” and just “Relax”. I’m not as quick witted as you, but I refuse to “Go Insane”!!

    Outta here….

Awesome Stef! I’m gonna be singing half of those songs all night now. You even broke out a little G-n-R on the Patience (which was a great song by the way). I gotta run though because –
“I’ve got to install microwave ovens, custom kitchen delivery. I got to move these refrigerators. I got to move these color tv’s….”

    “Moova – Moova….”
