I debated if I should post this or not, but I know that several of you have small children. I stumbled across this for the first time last week. After following some links, I couldn’t believe what I was reading. It is chilling, unbelievable and really leaves you wondering what we would do if this scenario ever played out. I will post part one of the video below that outlines what this unthinkable event would mean.
To be honest, the only thing I know to do is pray. We need to ask God to protect our schools, our teachers and above all our children. I don’t know if I can get my head around why or how this could happen in our world. Yet I don’t think we are to bury our head in the sand and not at least be aware of the possibilities. Lord give us wisdom.

Part 1 – “The Perfect Day” Explained
Wow… I’m glad you posted it. In fact, I’m going to link to this post on my blog. I knew nothing about this.
Will it happen? I pray not. Could it happen? Yes.
I read something about this about a year ago. So when I saw Glenn Beck was doing this special I watched it. It can scare the living daylights out of you. But, you got to get the information and keep a calm head on your shoulders. As a social worker working with kids schools were so easy for me to access. Half the time no one even asked for my credentials. I would just say “Hi! I’m Mary Wooten with the Department of Children and Families I need to see Sally Smith.” Next thing you know Sally Smith showed up with no idea who I was and no one asked. What is so scary many times I came to pick a kid up from school and they let me take the child with me not giving any identification. In my entire professional career only twice did someone ask for identification and verified it. We can pray really hard, but we’ve got to be active and seek wisdom. God gave us a brain and we’ve got to outsmart the other guys. After working with criminals I learned to beat them you’ve got to think like one. We’ve got to make our schools and districts take stronger measures to protect our children.
Sorry to get on my soapbox, but as you can tell protecting children is a very strong subject for me.
May the Lord protect and have mercy on us all, especially our precious children. I am so thankful He loves them and us as He does and that we can trust Him!
We can have peace and rest in this, still we need to seek Him and be much in prayer. These are perilous times, and the world isn’t the same place it used to be. But we have hope in Jesus Christ, and as I always say He IS faithful!

Thanks for posting this. One of the things on my “to do” list is to compile some information to share with our local police chief and public school district about this very thing – another Beslan, this time in America.
I think we’d be surprised how little our local officials/administrators/police are aware of issues like this. That’s why we need to make them aware.
The Islamists have told us that this (and other things like it) are coming.
We, as Americans also need to learn from the past school incidents: The perps will kill you if you let them. Don’t let them. Fight back. Throw books, chairs, anything you can get your hands on at them.
