01. One book that changed your life
Wild at Heart” – I found out some things that I had put under heavy lock and key that needed to be dealt with. It’s taught me much about being a husband, father, man of God and friend.

02. One book that you’ve read more than once
Everybody’s Normal Until You Get To Know Them” -One of my favorite books of all time. If I had to choose one book that defined how I believe God wired me, this would be it. John Ortberg outlines our deep desire to live in community with one another, love one another, help one another and understand that we are all on the journey.

03. One book you’d want on a desert island
The easy answer here would be “The Bible“. Since that is a given, I would say “Traveling Light” by Max Lucado. He breaks down the 23rd Psalm by explaining that we are carrying burdens we were never meant to carry. We are living out of someone else’s suitcase at times. Incredible book.

04. One book that made you laugh
Blue Like Jazz – For once I found an author that could write like I think. Donald Miller is all over the place in terms of his thought process. It was like having lunch with a friend.

05. One book that made you cry
When Christ Comes” -This actually just happened a few weeks ago. Max Lucado dedicates a part of the book in the chapter called “You’d Do it All Again” to painting a picture of what the day we arrive in Heaven could be like. Meeting people we never knew we impacted and seeing our family. Gets me every time.

06. One book that you wish had been written
“What to Tell Yourself and Others When There are No Answers”

07. One book that you wish had never been written
The Jerusalem Countdown” -It’s not John Hagee’s fault. He wrote a great book. I guess I wish it had never been written because there wasn’t a need for it to be. But sadly, it’s all there and he does a good job of blueprinting the inevitable.

08. One book you’re currently reading
Believe it or not, I am “between books” right now. Have started a few, but currently not reading anything.

09. One book you’ve been meaning to read
90 Minutes in Heaven” by John Don Piper.
