Some quick hits from the weekend that was and the week that is to come….
1. I finally broke down and bought a pair of Crocs. Well, they are the cheap kind so we’re calling them “Frocs” (Fake Crocs). Anyway, these things rock. They make my feet happy.
2. How about Kasey Kahne winning another race yesterday? As you know, I am a bandwagon huge Kasey Kahne fan.
3. Great news about Patrick Swayze this weekend in his battle against Pancreatic Cancer. Good to see something positive happen in the battle. Nobody puts Swayze in a corner! I was encouraged to read this after his intial reports.
4. Lakers almost pulled off the greatest comeback in NBA playoff history last night. They didn’t so they are now going to have to win 4 in a row to pull of my prediction of Lakers in 6.
5. The Baseball Tar Heels win again!! Next up is the Super Regional.
6. For about the 1 millionth time I changed the banner. I figure rather than trying to find one picture, I would just use them all. Hopefully it represents what this whole thing is about.
7. Some great entries in the “Alive and Transported” giveaway (see below). The polls are open all week so get your comments in for consideration.
Big bald guy in Crocs? I don’t even want to picture it. Don’t ever where them around me, ever!
The wife just got a set of real Crocs when we were on vacation. They’re actually sandal-like Crocs, not the Croc-type Crocs. She says that they are very comfortable, etc., etc.
I, on the other hand, am outfitted the same as you with Frocs.
Brian – You don’t know what you’re missing. Speaking of bald guys in Crocs…”D-Rich” has been wearing them as long as I’ve known him. His might be the Ohio State ones though. I was “this close” to buying the Carolina one’s when I was in Charlotte, but there was something about Carolina Blue Crocs that screamed “laughing stock”. I love the Heels, but there are some things that are just not meant to be Carolina Blue. Footwear would be one of them. I passed. They are actually pretty normal. It’s when you start adding those little things that fit in the holes that I would get concerned. C’mon….you can do it. I’m sure they make Cubs Crocs.
Mike – Welcome to the club my friend! We’ll have to have a cookout and invite “D-Rich”, you, me and Brian. We’ll all wear our “Frocs” and put the peer pressure on Brian.
Actually, my Frocs are some sort of blue color.
Knowing what I know now in terms of comfort and overall foot happiness, I would have purchased the Heel Crocs/Frocs just to show my pride.
Speaking of…Brian – Check out the Cub version. Pretty slick actually….

I may have to make a stop this weekend (which I will be in the region) and pick up a pair. Better yet…Fathers Day weekend. What better says “I love you” more than Cubs Crocs.
I just laughed when I read you had “frocs”!! Brian’s image was mine… ” a bald guy in what…??”
Please don’t accessorize them…
Go for the Birkenstocks… Eric loves them. He stands in surgery all day and he said they save his back. A few have tried the Crocs but said they didn’t compare to the Birks. I still order them from Renee’s Birkenstocks in Columbus. We put them in the dishwasher to wash them!!!! That’s what they said to do for cleaning. Go figure.
