New Feature Alert!!! My bloggin’ buddy Jason from that state up north has been doing his Top 5 Songs of The Week for a long time now. This is in no way a copy of that. See, mine is called “Four For Friday” so it’s not an exact copy. It’s like “7 Minute Abs”. These songs have absolutely no deep dark meaning. Basically, I will post 4 songs each week that caused me to hit repeat a time or two. They may or may not be current and with some I’ll post a comment or two. I’d be interested in what you’re listening to as well. Thanks to Jason for the inspiration!
“No Air” by Jordin Sparks – Now before you laugh too hard let me explain. While this is the musical equivalent of a “chick flick”, I can’t get this song out of my head. It is all the fault of National Rental Car. For some odd reason every time I get in one of their rentals when I am out of town this song seems to be on. It’s gotten to the point where I actually sit and listen to it before I pull up to check out so they don’t interrupt the song. It’s our secret but I’m addicted to this song……
“I’m Not Who I Was” by Brandon Heath – Got pulled back into the noise that is Facebook this week. Can’t think of a more appropriate tune for those people from the past that I haven’t seen in a long, long, long time. It about says it all.
“Oh My Sweet Carolina” by Ryan Adams – I’m headed back to Charlotte (“D-Rich” calls it my “Mecca“) in a few days. One of the greatest Carolina songs I have ever heard. It’s true on so many levels.
“Top of My Lungs” by Phillips Craig and Dean – These guys are like the “Brooks and Dunn” of CCM. One hit after another. Great stuff.
Your turn…..What is your Four For Friday?
How about just two:

Live for you – Connersvine
Wow Jenny! I have never heard either of those. Well, actually I just heard them so I have heard them once. Both are great worship songs. I really liked the second one. Thanks for participating and not making fun of my “No Air” song 🙂
No problem 🙂 I figured I had no room to talk since I have her “Tattoo” song on my iPod. You just need to add the Mercy Me “Girls just wanna have fun” Grab Bag song to your “Chick Flick” list 🙂 Oops….I promise that wasn’t making fun!
I didn’t want to admit it but that song is good too! No joke, I heard that one in Baltimore last week….in my rental car. No lie. Maybe she has some kind of agreement with rental car companies. I might just have to download the whole CD. I can just say it’s Heather’s if anyone asks.
By the way….if we add “Tattoo” to your other 2, you now have 3 for Friday 🙂
