That may qualify as the cheesiest title I have ever called a blog post. Then again…I just used the word “cheesiest” so how bad can it be. Here’s my point, Facebook is cool. I don’t know what else to call it or say. I’ve been sitting here for a few minutes trying to find another way to frame it and I can’t. This is also coming from a guy that de-activated his account a few months ago because I just didn’t see the value in having one. For reasons I don’t remember I fired the account up again recently and I can’t begin to tell you how glad I am that I did. It’s cool.
“After all that we’ve been through, I know we’re cool. I know we’re cool” – Gwen Stefani
I don’t know if Gwen Stefani uses Facebook, but I wouldn’t be surprised. That is basically what I have been experiencing the past month or so. Through Facebook it has been my pleasure to connect with people that I never thought I would see again. It’s great to see their families, their children and hear the stories about what they have been doing all these years. It’s also good to know that after all these years and after all that we’ve been through…we’re still cool. In other words we can still call one another friend.
To those that I’ve connected with I’d like to say thanks. Thanks for the messages on my “wall” and the emails in the inbox. After all that we’ve been through..I know we’re cool!
It is also a great place for “Name Dropping”.
I’ve found the same thing–coolness of connecting with forgotten people. There are those applications though on Facebook that are endless and very annoying.
Hey, thanks for continuing to check out my blog.

Brian – My back still hurts….
Laura – No doubt (no pun intended) on the applications. I feel bad hitting “ignore” but there’s only so much space on the page and time in a day! I will admit to “Pieces of Flair” though. That one is just FUN.
It is so cool… I’ve reconnected with people I’ve not seen in years!! I’ve laughed until I cried, cried over past hurts, and had joy to see such awesome families. I now hit ignore a lot with the applications. At first I thought it was fun but I started feeling like a freshman in high school…not cool. I like “Pieces of Flair” too and the movie quizes.
