“Who has a loved one, a wife, a husband, a child, a parent, or a friend who is in Heaven”? That question was asked by Paul Enns, a Pastor at Idlewild Baptist Church in Tampa, Florida. He had been asked to preach a sermon and knew immediately what he was going to preach about..Heaven. The subject had recently become very near to his heart because his beloved wife of 45 years suddenly passed away. As anyone that can answer “yes” to that question (which we all can) would tell you, we want to know about Heaven.
We want to know our loved ones our there
We want to know we’ll know them
We want to know everything is okay
“Heaven Revealed” is a book written Paul Enns in his quest to answer many of these questions. Paul goes to great lengths to explore scripture and find the answers that so many of us long for. With all of the recent controversy around Rob Bell and his new book “Love Wins”, it was refreshing to read a different perspective. It was encouraging and filled with hope. One of my favorite parts is the way that Paul leaves little room for doubt as he backs every statement with scripture references. Knowing that the Bible is truth, we can then takeaway many exciting things about where our loved ones are and where we will spend eternity.

i’m sure what ever awaits God’s children in heaven is beyond our comprehension here on earth. sound like a fun read.
It’s a very positive and encouraging look at what awaits. Thanks Vic.
Sounds like a great read Aaron.
It really is. Short but full of useful and well researched scripture.
This is a terrific book, which not only provides theological truth but also pastoral comfort if you have lost a loved one. I did an article on finding hope while grieving a loss for wikihow.com, and quoted this book several times because it was so helpful. here’s the link that article: http://www.wikihow.com/index.php?title=Have-Hope-when-You%27ve-Lost-a-Loved-One%2C-as-a-Christian&oldid=5770914
feel free to share the article link with anyone you think it might help!
Thank you Keri! Thanks for the book too. We know several people dealing with a loss right now that we will recommend it to. Excellent book. Such a bright perspective to look forward to. Thanks again for the link.
