If we have Christmas songs, why don’t we have Good Friday and Easter songs too? Why doesn’t the local radio station start playing them sometime after Valentines day and 24-7 after Palm Sunday? For a moment that is just as important (if not more) as Christmas is to Christians everywhere, I wonder why we don’t usher it in like we do Christmas. So, here’s my campaign to do just that. Feel free to add to the playlists with your favorites as well.
GOOD FRIDAY SONGS:
Ten Thousand Angels Cried – LeAnn Rimes
Communion – Third Day
Not Guilty – Mandisa*
Sweetly Broken – Jeremy Riddle
How He Loves – David Crowder Band
Overcome – Jeremy Camp
My Jesus – Todd Agnew
EASTER SUNDAY SONGS:
Rise Again – Dallas Holm
Grave Robber – Petra
Were You There – Selah
Glorious Day – Casting Crowns
Arise My Love – Newsong*
*Denotes my personal favorite
You missed one of my all time favorite hymns….Old Rugged Cross
I knew there would be several I would miss. Especially the old hymns. “The Wonderful Cross” by Chris Tomlin is another great one.
My Saviour Lives – New Life Worship
Tell The World – Hillsong United
Let God Arise -Chris Tomlin
I have read so many posts about the blogger lovers except this paragraph is in fact a nice paragraph, keep it up.
