When was the last time you took a risk? I’m not talking trying the chicken rather than steak here. I mean put it all on the line believing it was what God called you to do. When was the last time your church or its leadership took a risk? I’m not talking mixing in a Casting Crowns song on Sunday morning or wearing “skinny jeans” vs. a suit. I’m talking about your church and its leadership paving the way for the church body by taking a risk believing it was what God called them to.

If you answered that “it’s been awhile” or “never”, then I recommend you pick up a copy of “The Faith of Leap” by Michael Frost and Alan Hirsch. I recently received a copy and it couldn’t have been more timely. In “The Faith of Leap”, Frost and Hirsch challenge the reader to get uncomfortable in the name of their faith. Not only do they challenge the reader, they give a road map for some ways in which to do that.

Pulling from a wide variety of sources and examples, Hirsch and Frost challenge the church and its leadership to live by faith. They consistently remind the reader that the church is to be the change we see in the world. It is a well written and engaging read and one you will walk away from ready to do big things.

I have the honor of giving away a copy of “The Faith of Leap” as well. Leave a comment below and I will randomly choose one name on Thursday night to receive a copy of this excellent book. Take a moment and leave a comment for your chance!

I give “The Faith of Leap” a 4 out of 5
