What is your DREAM Job? Have you ever thought about that? Are you already in that job? I think it’s worth thinking about. You can’t just say “the one where I make a bunch of money” either, that’s too easy. I’m talking about something that is natural, enjoyable, within your interest and passions in life. Think about that for a minute and when you have the idea in mind, ponder these questions…
1. Would you be willing to leave your current job (good or bad) for your “Dream Job”?
2. If it meant relocating your family, would you still be willing to accept it?
3. If it meant benefits were not as good?
4. If it meant the pay was not what you’re currently making?
Yesterday I overheard a speaker that my wife was listening to recite the popular quote from “Wild at Heart” in her talk.
“Don’t ask yourself what the world needs. Ask yourself what makes you come alive and then go do that. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.”
Later that evening, I was talking to a friend on the phone about his recent promotion. I’m thrilled for him. After we hung up I started thinking about my “Dream Job” and what that might be. I asked myself the questions above as I thought about it. In all honesty, I literally dreamt about it last night (no kidding). Clearly it was on my mind. So now I ask you…
