This weekend Princess 1.0 came home. One of her main drivers to return to the “mother ship” was to get tattoos with “Papa Bear.” She has planned, and prayed and thought of this moment. She created a beautiful design. The story is hers to tell but it revolves around “Kintsugi.”
The Japanese art of repairing broken pottery by mending the areas of breakage with urushi lacquer dusted or mixed with powdered gold, silver, or platinum.
Her tattoo

So why in the world is this post “Five Dots?”
Because I got one too.

I have always wanted to get “Dear Younger Me…..”
While I love the tattoo, the MOST important thing to me is those five dots after it. I have over a dozen tattoos now. That’s not a brag. They all tell my story.
Those five dots were the MOST important part of this one.
My letter starts with “Dear Younger Me” and ends with those five dots.
My story.
Heather’s story.
Austin’s story.
Emma’s story.
Brynn’s story.
Dear Younger Me…..
They are the story I would tell my younger self. They are my life, my everything, my all.
Anything else is awesome and a bonus.
Those five dots are why I get up every morning. They are why I fight my battles. They are why I hope to be the spiritual leader, provider, protector. Those five dots are why I want to be a reflection of our Heavenly Father.
Until my last.
I will, battle, fight, love and protect.
Those five dots.
