Scripture:
“Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” — 1 Corinthians 10:31
We live in a world where clicks matter. Likes, shares, views—these have become the currency of attention. A post that gains traction can feel like a small victory, a moment of validation that what we said or shared resonated with others. And there’s nothing inherently wrong with that. Connection is good. Influence can be powerful.
But it’s worth asking a deeper question: What are those clicks ultimately pointing to?
It’s possible to gather attention and still miss purpose. A post can go viral and yet have no eternal value. We can spend hours crafting content, chasing engagement, and building a following—but if it all points back to us, it fades as quickly as it came.
Now imagine something greater.
What if the same energy we put into gaining clicks was used to point people to Christ? What if our words, our platforms, our influence—no matter how big or small—became signposts to hope, truth, and grace? A single post that encourages someone in their faith, shares Scripture, or reflects the love of Jesus carries a weight far beyond numbers on a screen.
Because while clicks are temporary, souls are eternal.
Jesus didn’t call us to be popular; He called us to be faithful. He didn’t measure impact by numbers, but by obedience and love. And sometimes, the quiet post that only a few people see can be used by God in ways we may never fully know this side of heaven.
So the goal isn’t to abandon social media—it’s to redeem it.
Before you post, pause and ask:
- Does this reflect Christ in me?
- Could this encourage someone in their walk with God?
- Am I seeking attention, or am I pointing to something greater?
Clicks are great—but pointing even one person toward Jesus is greater.
Prayer:
Lord, help me to use every platform You’ve given me for Your glory. Guard my heart from seeking approval and redirect my focus toward eternal impact. Let my words reflect Your truth, and may anything I share point others to You. Amen.
