It appears that there is a break in the rain delay we have had this week (see “rain delay” post below). I am not 100% sure what next week will bring, more than likely less blog, more work but I could not let the 4th of July go by without honoring the men and women of our armed forces, police, fire, rescue and all those that give us the independence we have to do things like blogs! I will return soon with more posts, but in the mean time, this song by Ed McCurdy gives us a glimpse of a world that we can only pray someday exists. Until that time, there will people that put their lives on the line so we can have the freedom we do.

The Strangest Dream by Ed McCurdy
Last night I had the strangest dream
I’d ever dreamed before
I dreamed the world had all agreed
To put an end to war
I dreamed I saw a mighty room
Filled with women and men
And the paper they were signing said
They’d never fight again
And when the paper was all signed
And a million copies made
They all joined hands and bowed their heads
And grateful pray’rs were prayed
And the people in the streets below
Were dancing ’round and ’round
While swords and guns and uniforms
Were scattered on the ground
Last night I had the strangest dream
I’d never dreamed before
I dreamed the world had all agreed
To put an end to war.
