As near the most crucial part of our journey together on Wednesday nights, wouldn’t you know that I literally lost my voice this weekend. There is no doubt in my mind that this is not a coincidence. I actually would have been surprised if this whole thing would have gone on without a hitch. Yet here we are, 48 hours away from the most important part of the journey and I have no voice.

Here is the crazy part…I am honored by this! I have said it before and I will say it again. There is something that is highly dangerous to the enemy about a group of men rediscovering what God wrote on their hearts. What an honor to be hit with the full brunt of the storm. What is even better is that I will not be shaken by this. It will make the journey a little more difficult, but won’t delay the outcome.

I was reminded of Acts 5:41 when the apostles “left the Sanhedrin rejoicing because they had been counted worthy of suffering disgrace for the Name.” They had literally just been beaten and they REJOICED! Guess that makes a little laryngitis seem pretty small in comparison. The next time you are doing work for the Kingdom and face some obstacles, remember to rejoice because you are “counted worthy of suffering”.
