It is with a heavy heart that I write this post and yet there is a sense of peace. Our friend Brandi went to be with the Lord this morning. There is no more pain. There are no more tears. She is free to worship at the feet of her creator and has earned the crowns of glory she is sure to receive.

Some may find this hard to believe, but I awoke this morning to find a complete rainbow outside our bedroom window. At the time, my thought was that “God still keeps his promises”. I did not know at the time how accurate that actually was. What a wonderful message of peace, hope and promise that prism of light provided. Now it provides comfort.

I close with one other lyric from the song “With Hope” by Steven Curtis Chapman. When you think of it today, thank God for that rainbow and the promise of hope. Also say a prayer for Brandi’s husband John and their son Max. Welcome home Brandi, “well done my good and faithful servant”.

“I imagine you, where you wanted most to be. Seeing all your dreams come true, ’cause now you’re home and now you’re free” – Steven Curtis Chapman.
