Based on many of your reviews, posts and comments, I placed a new order with CBD today. I’m like a kid at Christmas when I place these things. With all of the flights and time in the hotel, I am once again back on track with the yearly reading plan. Below is what I ordered. Your feedback and recommendations are always welcomed –
1. Screwtape Letters – by C.S. Lewis
2. Mere Christianity – by C.S. Lewis
3. Sex God – by Rob Bell
4. Soul Cravings – By Erwin McManus
5. To Own a Dragon – By Donald Miller
I still have the following on my bookshelf ready to read as well.
1. Prayer – By Philip Yancey
2. The Jesus I Never Knew – By Philip Yancey
3. In The Eye of The Storm – Max Lucado
4. He Chose the Nails – Max Lucado
5. God Came Near – Max Lucado
I’m always looking for more as well so pass along what you’re reading or have read that you recommend. April’s a very busy travel month, so I anticipate many posts related to what I’m reading.
I just finished Soul Cravings — great book. Also finished, “The Barbarian Way.”
We did a study on ‘He Chose the Nails’ and it was very good. I recently read ‘The Screwtape Letters’ and ‘Mere Christianity’ and found that I really like CS Lewis! I loved the satire of Screwtape! It was a little tough reading them back to back because the perspective changes so I had to keep refocusing what I was thinking but both are definitely worth the read!! Enjoy! I have a couple of the other ones on my ‘to read’ list also..as soon as I get a chance!
If you like Christian fiction, then I would suggest Deadline by Randy Alcorn. Awesome!
