Wisdom from the 80’s (II)

The key to faking out the parents is the clammy hands. It’s a good non-specific symptom; I’m a big believer in it. A lot of people will tell you that a good phony fever is a dead lock, but, uh… you get a nervous mother, you could wind up in a doctor’s office. That’s worse than school. You fake a stomach cramp, and when you’re bent over, moaning and wailing, you lick your palms. It’s a little childish and stupid, but then, so is high school.

I absolutely love 80’s movies. Growing up in a suburb of Chicago, Ferris Bueller is one of my favorite.

Ha! We watched this the other day. I have to admit I had a small crush on the kid who played Ferris when I was in high school…yikes! I never want to live through the 80s again, thank you very much. I can’t roll my pants like that at the bottom any more (and any girl coming along and reading this will know what I mean).

Glad you’re all digging the 80’s. I have roughly 10 years of “wisdom” to share so this will be fun. It’s also good to know that I am not alone in my love of the 80’s. More to come!!
