There has been much talk about the movie “The Bucket List” (which I have not seen yet). I don’t really have a Bucket List, but if I did, I think the number one item would be this:
To break up a parade by jumping on a float and singing “Twist and Shout” ala Ferris Bueller. If nothing else, I would at least like to be a part of the dance crew on the steps. The only condition is that it would need to include TBDBITL.

Dude….
If anyone could pull this off…it would be you.
One of my favorite if not my most favorite movies. It helps that I grew up in the Chicago region and during this time.
OK, let’s see… dream to reality…
Next available parade looks like it’s St Patrick’s day. IIRC float entries are pretty cheap if not free. I’m a club member, we could work something out.
Get yourself a pick-up truck or a flat bed truck, a P.A. system and a portable generator. I’ve got the necessary Beatles CD. Decorate as you see fit.
Aaron – would you do a mullet wig or come as you are?
OSUMB – that’s out of my league.
If you need a backup guitar give me a shout.
Twist n Shout is a great tune. A little trivia: that tune was the last one recorded at the end of a long session and Lennon was not at all satisfied with the quality of his voice. The producers decided to keep it and release anyways. Goes to show you that sometimes what we think is our worst can be our best.
