North Carolina is back in New Jersey for the NCAA Tournament. I’m sure every Tar Heel fan remembers the tragedy that took place last time the Heels were in Jersey and it had nothing to do with what happened on the court. If you’re not familiar, take the next 6 minutes and watch this video. As I watched this video again this morning, I am reminded that my Mom was an organ donor as well. Someone(s), somewhere has life today, a better life, thanks to her decision. For more information on organ donation click (HERE).
I’ve read that the Tar Heels invited at least one of these individuals in this video to the game tonight.

GO HEELS!!
Wow Aaron! I remember the story when it first happened. Thanks for sharing this video. I checked to make sure the Organ Donor Heart is on my license. I will be watching the game…but I am not sure I can root for the Heels. 🙂 Sorry, fully adopted Buckeye here. What a great final display of love Jason showed as he shed this earthly vessel and gave others hope.

Thanks Rob. It’s okay to cheer for the Heels tonight vs. Marquette. I understand, should they both advance, if you must root for Ohio State. This is the first time in the last 3 years they will have played with something other than a loss on the line. I’m in a can’t lose should that happen as they are my 1 and 2 teams. I have a feeling OSU will roll them to be honest. Need to get past Marquette and Kentucky first.
I renewed my license last summer and signed up to be an organ donor. I can honestly say it was in direct response to this story. Not because he’s a Tar Heel, but because the impact it had on me. I never realized the hope and life it would give to others.
Good to hear from you my friend.
