What can you say about a day when your child publicly acknowledges their devotion to Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior? This morning at Journey Church, following a service about Caleb and his determination to be devoted to God wholeheartedly, my middle child did just that. Earlier in the week my wife asked her if she remembered the day that she accepted Christ as her Savior and the details she remembered were incredible.
First, let’s reflect on the day she accepted Christ. We celebrated with cake because scripture says there’s a party in Heaven over one soul that gets saved.
Now let’s celebrate her public baptism
I’m proud of you Princess 1.0. You make it so easy to be your Dad. I love you little one.
That’s awesome, Aaron. One of the most touching parts of baptisms in our tradition is, “you are sealed by the Holy Spirit in Baptism and marked as Christ’s own for ever.” Now your princess has been marked as Christ’s forever.
David.
